This 6 days 5 nights Tsavo West, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara
wildlife safari will leave you with such powerful impressions that it
will take time for it all to sink in! The Mount Kilimajaro, with the snow
peak seen on a clear day, will leave you breathless.
Day 1: Pick up from your hotel or cottage will be at 0530 hrs and we head for the Mombasa - Nairobi highway entering the Tsavo East through the Bachuma gate where we stop for refreshments. You will start game viewing immediately upon entry as you head to your lodge to arrive in time for lunch.
After lunch, take an afternoon game drive returning to
your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Enjoy an early morning
game drive followed by breakfast and then check out to head for the Amboseli
National Park to arrive in time for lunch. The majestic Kilimanjaro forms
a beautiful backdrop and is a photographers dream setting. An afternoon
game drive will follow and then dinner and overnight at your lodge in
Amboseli.
Day
3: After an early morning game drive and breakfast, you
leave the Amboseli and head for Lake Nakuru with a stopover for lunch.
Arrive at your Lake Nakuru lodge or camp in the late afternoon. Dinner
and overnight at your lodge or camp.
Day 4: The morning of your
fourth day will be spent around Lake Nakuru National Park with its millions
of flamingoes, pelicans and hundred's of bird species. Lake Nakuru National
Park is host to a Rhino Sanctuary. Break for lunch before proceeding to
the Masai Mara game reserve. Arrival at Masai Mara will be in the early
evening. Meals and overnight at your lodge or camp in Masai Mara.
Day 5: The entire day will
be spent at the Masai Mara Game Reserve with morning and afternoon game
drives forming the main activity. Masai Mara has almost all wildlife species
found in Kenya including elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopard and plains
game. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.
Day 6: You will take an
early morning game drive to watch animals either getting back to their
hide-outs after a night of hunting or just starting their day! This will
take about 2 hours then return to your lodge or camp for breakfast and
check out.
Exit the Masai Mara Game Reserve and head for Nairobi with a stopover
for lunch. Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon where you will be dropped
at the Nairobi Railway station to board the overnight Nairobi - Mombasa
train. Dinner and overnight will be in the train. Optionally, you can
take the 1900 hrs flight to Mombasa and arrive an hour later to be dropped
at your Kenya coast beach hotel or cottage.
